Understanding Acne & Hyperpigmentation Acne affects people of all ages and genders, presenting in forms that range from mild breakouts to more severe cysts and scarring. Common contributing factors include: Genetics / Heredity Hormones & Stress Cosmetics, skincare, or hair products Diet Bacteria Clogged pores and follicles Hyperpigmentation refers to dark spots, melasma, or uneven skin tone caused by excess melanin production. Contributing factors may include: PIH (Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) from previous breakouts or skin trauma Sun exposure and lack of sunscreen Hormonal changes, such as during pregnancy or from birth control What to Expect from This Treatment This facial includes more advanced care to further elevate your results. We begin with an updated skin analysis to track your progress and customize your ongoing treatment plan. A thorough cleanse is tailored to your skin’s type and current concerns. Then, we introduce epidermal leveling (also known as dermaplaning) to deeply exfoliate and renew the skin. What is Epidermal Leveling? Epidermal Leveling is a non-invasive mechanical exfoliation treatment that uses a sterile, steel-guarded blade to gently remove dead surface skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz). This leaves your skin visibly brighter, smoother, and more even in tone and texture. This treatment also helps enhance product penetration and allows for smoother makeup application. Note: Hair typically does not grow back thicker or darker. However, in rare cases, darker hairs (particularly on the chin or sideburns) may appear due to hormonal changes or genetics. Before You Book Please note: A 15-minute grace period is provided to accommodate unexpected delays. Kindly give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
